  • Instance decline. Response text configurable for declining a single instance of a recurring meeting.
  • Truncation of meetings. Truncate recurring meetings based on the conflict check window or the number of months in the future the resource may be scheduled.

  • Added <%AllConflictMeetingsInfo%>. This may be used in a response to a recurring meeting to provide information about all conflicts found.
  • Added <%InstanceConflictMeetingsInfo%>. This may be used in a response to a recurring meeting to provide information about all conflicting instances found.

Known Issues and Limitations

Installation

  • CDOEX.DLL Version Check. ERM does not currently check to ensure an appropriate baseline version of the CDOEX.DLL is installed on the server. Manually check to ensure version “6.0.5771.3” or later is installed. This version of CDOEX.DLL is included in Exchange 2000 SP3.

Global and Individual Resource Properties

  • mailNickname Restriction. Certain characters possibly found within the mailNickname attribute are not supported by ERM. A semicolon (;) in the mailNickname attribute leads to multiple records in the ERM database. Other characters that are not supported in the mailNickname are """, "%", "{", "}", "|", "\", "?", "*", and "=".
  • Default Response for Declining Request due to Restriction. The text used by default for declining a meeting request due to a restriction uses the <%ResourceContactEmail%>. This macro uses contact information to populate the addressee of the email link; if this information is not available, the addressee field of the email is not populated.

Message Loops

  • "Reply and Delete". Use caution when setting the "Reply and Delete" option for the handling of non-calendar items, because message loops may result if responses are sent to another mailbox that uses an auto-response.

Environment

  • ERM requires Exchange 2000 running Service Pack 3 or later. Please contact Simpler-Webb for additional information regarding this limitation.
